Sorry to hear about the rig repairs, Lowell.
It happens to all of us at one time or another, though, and it is more than
likely not related to anything that you might have done.
At least you have a back-up, which is always what I try to do as well.

Well, I have the Kenwood TM-D710A, and like you, I really do like it!
The sad thing is that I just mailed it to Kenwood repair as, for some
unknown reason, it has lost its sensitivity.
A 60 over 9 signal could not break the squelch.
Now that's bad!
I have had it for about 1/2 years I think. I bought as soon as they were
released.
Anyhow, I'm know I will be glad to get back working correctly.
Meanwhile, I will just use the VHF- UHF on the TS-2000.
