well, because it's older, so yes, they're cheaper on the used market, though 
not by much.
A TM v7a goes for around $130 these days.
you can pick up a VS3 for them for around $40 as well...so $160 or $170 for 
a used, talking tm v7a.
these have a remote head as well.
