I'll post to the list here, and see what they say.

I am closer to the 100 watts than you are, but it is still a bit strange.

There are two ways you can subscribe to the TS590 group.

One is via the yahoogroups web site, and the other is via e-mail.

When subscribing, give them your call, so they can verify that you are a
ham, and not some sort of a spammer.

If you want to try the e-mail route, which is how I think I ultimately
succeeded, send an e-mail to:

I had similar problems. Could you post to the 590 list and see if
others are having this problem? Also, could you give me the exact name
of the list and how you subscribed. I tried two tw1 meeters with
similar results. I'm going to hook mine up on the bench in the basement
on my ifr service monitor and see what it says. I called Universal and
they say they're sending a call tag, but Kenwood wants to look at it
before they replace it. Bummer!!!

Keep me posted Tom, and I'll post my further test results here as well.
