I'm in the same boat, the budget also dictates, I may not be getting a new 
radio for a very very long time if ever. I'm sure glad I like the TS-2000 
and what else I have. I did recently get a new bunch of 900 MHz radios but 
that was a deal from a scrap yard I couldn't pass up and I'll be selling 
them, first one should make me more than my money back.
