In reverse order, I do not know who is currently making quad antennas 
commercially. Lightning Bolt made some fine models through the 1990s, 
but they went away several years ago.

I ran a two element Hi-gain quad at 70 feet for 10 years from 1972 - 
1982. With that antenna and my Swan 500CX, I was king of the hill 
whenever I operated on 10, 15, and 20 meters.

Remember, though, this was before pairs of stacked 6 element beams 
were a dime a dozen, so the playing field was perhaps somewhat more 
level then than it is today.

The common quad vs Yagi comparison that I have always heard is that a 
full size 2 element quad is at least equal to a full size 3 element 
Yagi in terms of performance.

My experience with the 2 element quad, and with other 3 element beams 
before and since, confirms that statement to my satisfaction.

Be advised, however, that a 4 element 20 meter quad is somewhat of a 
mechanical monster to keep in the air.
