        Junior:

I have run Murphy off the property, and have totally banned him from ever
coming back again.

Of course, he'll never listen, so who knows what will happen down the road,
but hopefully, he'll stay out of here at least for a while.

Subject: What A Difference A Day Makes!

Hi, everyone.

Well, this evening, I'm happy to report that I appear to be back in business

on HF!!

Today was one of those nice Michigan Spring days, and one of my good ham
friends came over and successfully installed my Radio Shack 10-foot mast
extension on top of my 30-foot telescopic mast. I need to do a lot more
checking, but initially, my SWR's look reasonable with both antennas on the
various bands. I also will now be in a position to really see if my RFI
problem with my Heil mic set-up has been resolved, so there will be lots of
testing ahead for me here. I'll be out of town tomorrow, but should have
some time tonight and tomorrow night to get a better feeling of how things
are working.

If everything goes according to plan here, I should be available to do the
40-meter east-coast mid-west round table Saturday afternoon. So, if there
is enough interest, and if there are no ongoing contests, I'll be on or near

7.185 MHZ at 4 p.m. Eastern (2100 Z) Saturday afternoon.

If things change, I'll let everyone know, but for now, I'll plan to head up
the round table if that's ok with everyone.

More later for sure!
