I'd be willing to bet you that if you could come up with a more substantial 
ground, preferably an earth ground, your RFI problems would be lessened 
substantially.

I found that out when we moved back to Michigan, when I put an earth 
grounding system in here.

Well, not much at the moment, I just have a wire going to a copper water
line in my basement.
