in order to do that youwould need  a seprate transmitter for the uhf side at least and  it would need to function as a true repeater  figure two of the radios and a duplexer like used on a repeater and a controller   some people have actually done this, but it gets expensive quickly as you need a full duplex repeater in your car or house and the radio and a remote bse controller. that's alot of gear to cram into yoru car
