The only time-outs on the FT-950 are indicated by beeps, and this is just to
tell you that you have held a button down long enough to engage its
secondary function.

ON the 950, the 118 menu items wrap around from 118 to 1, but menu settings
have maxima and minima, and some of them can be judged by how far you turn
the VFO B knob.  There are ways to accurately determine frequency.  The
trick is to remember to use them.around
