    Makes sense, John, and since the carrying case that is made to go with 
the Stream really isn't that much better, there is a real need for a better 
option out there.

I may have mentioned on the list here that I was able to find a cell phone 
case that fits the stream, but there are no holes in it that allow you to 
access the PTT and the other buttons and jacks on the radio, which is a real 
drawback.

I'd say they had to have changed it as I know many who bought theirs around
the time I did who haven't had the p-roblem you and others with recent ones
have, in fact I know I've mentioned it personally to no less than 8 people
and not one has had that problem with theirs but all bought theirs in the
range of 2004 or earlier.
