the TS2000 has a so239 connecter for VHF, and an N connecter for UHF...it
also has two so239 connecters for HF/6meters.
There is also an RCA female connecter on there for use with medium wave AM
broadcast band receive only antennas
If you have the version with the 1.2GHZ module, there is a coax pig tail and
an N type connecter on the end of that.
You would use an external duplexer if you wish to use a single dual band
antenna for both VHF and UHF.
One of the features i always wished kenwood put in was the ability to switch
VHF and UHF to work on one connecter, or have them separate for satellite
work and what not...that would require a built in duplexer that was
by-passable.
Seems the radio does damn near everything else, this feature would have been
a really convenient one.
