Hi Kris,

I don't own a braille display, but I know a little about USB to serial 
converters.

First, not all USB to serial converters are the same.  You might have to try 
a few before you can find one that will work, but I'm pretty sure that there 
is a converter out there that will work.  If jaws 12 won't support your 
display, just stick with an earlier version of jaws.
