Hi, all.

Well, after a few days of drastic re-arranging, in light of my
newly-acquired TS590, here is a description of my home shack. ... Hopefully,
this description will stay valid for a wile.

My shack is in a 9 by 12 bedroom on the second floor of my house.

As you walk into the shack, there is a closet covering the wall immediately
to the left of the door. If you walk straight ahead, you will find my ham
operating desk along a south-facing wall.

On the desk at my operating position is my TS590. Immediately to the right
of that is my laptop computer, that I use for logging and other related
functions.

To the left of my TS590 is an open area where I can keep notes and other
materials I'm working with.

My Heil Gold Line mic is clamped to a shelf right above my operating
position, so it can swing down to a comfortable position when I am
operating.

On a shelf to the right of my main operating position is my Kenwood TMV71A
VHF/UHF rig. Other shelves right above my operating position contain
various misellaneous items such as a wooden box containing my license and
other important documents; several HT's and their accessories, and some
other odds and ends.

On the very top shelf of my operating desk are several external speakers
which are connected to various pieces of equipment, a NOAA Public Alert
Weather Radio, and my Astron RS35 power supply.

Immediately to the right of my main operating desk is a small multi-shelf
table. This table contains my Ameritron AL811H amplifier on the top, and my
Tentech 238A manual tuner beneath that.

This table is located right in front of the window, which contains my MFJ
feed through panel, to which four antennas are connected. They are a
Carolina Windom 160 compact, an Alpha Delta DXCC, a Diamond X200 for VHF and
UHF, and a homebrew J-pole, also for VHF and UHF. The feed through panel
also contains a ground connection to a ground rod right outside the window.

To the right of this is a filing cabinet with a GE Super II. radio on top.

On the west wall of my shack is a book case with various assorted work and
ham-radio-related books, and a plastic set of drawers which hold various
types of connectors and other assorted items. Immediately to the right of
the book case on the west wall is my Juliet Pro60 Braille embosser, and a
computer desk containing my main work PC.

Finally, along the north wall of my shack is another desk that I use for my
professional work and other more general purposes.

Thanks to Pierre for initiating this thread. It has been very interesting
to get a sense of what everyone's shack is like.
