I agree with Tom and John regarding the super radio III.  Now that I'm out 
in the country, I wish I still had my original super radio because that one 
along with the Panasonic rf2100 was a hot receiver.  The drawback with that 
rig was the fragility of that dial cord.  I don't know what would be the 
equivalent now.  The sdr radio ides sounds good but I don't think any of the 
software packages are all that speech friendly.  73- pat kk3f
