Hi everyone,

If you are in the greater Fredericksburg area, please make your plans to
join our group for its 6th anniversary annual open house event!

*What: *Our sixth anniversary open house--woohoo! There will be a great
presentation from Elizabeth Barbone (read more below) and door prizes that
foodies will love. We'll have many delicious gluten-free treats for folks to
enjoy as well.

*When: *Saturday, November 13, 12:00 noon - 2:00 PM

*Where: *Fredericksburg United Methodist Church; 308 Hanover Street,
Fredericksburg, VA 22401 (parking in rear off Charlotte Street, around
the corner from Hanover Street)

*Who: *Elizabeth Barbone, an alumnus of the Culinary Institute of
America, the author of *Easy Gluten-Free Baking*, and the founder of
both *Gluten
Free Bakin**g* (www.glutenfreebaking.com, her main site) and *Gluten Free
Baking 101** *(http://glutenfreebaking101.blogspot.com, her blog), will be
our guest speaker and chef. What a treat it will be to have Elizabeth
joining us! She's traveling all the way from upstate New York to give us a
demonstration on making outstanding gluten-free bread.
Born with severe multiple food allergies, Elizabeth is committed to creating
gluten-free recipes that taste just like their wheat counterparts. All of
Elizabeth's recipes are tested countless times to ensure reader's success in
the kitchen. Using easy-to-find ingredients, Elizabeth makes gluten-free
baking accessible for everyone.

In addition to creating recipes for her main site, *Gluten-Free
Baking<http://www.glutenfreebaking.com/>
*, Elizabeth travels the country speaking to celiac/gluten
intolerance groups and teaching gluten-free baking classes. She will be
joining us and giving a breadmaking demonstration. Successful gluten-free
bread making often stumps folks; Elizabeth will show us how to make bread
that doesn't have to be toasted, has the right texture, and above all,
tastes good!
Hope to see you there!
Shirley
