Hello Rachel:
This sounds like the issue Clack had with IE 9 back on September 1.
Below is the same cure I gave Clark.
With IE 9 open pull down the tools menu and choose Internet options
With the focus on the general tab arrow over to change the focus to programs
Tab down the window until you land on select programs and enter on that
When another window opens tab about four times until you land on program
access and computer defaults then enter on that
The select program access and computer defaults window opens
Select the Microsoft windows radio button and your choices for programs
along with email options will show up. Now I am a mouse user so I don't know
what keystrokes to use to get to these options. I know I should have told
you this at the top of the page.
If you can get your email selection made then just enters on ok for each
window and that is it.
The nice thing about this is using the mail recipient icon on the Word 2003
and later versions on the toolbar. I often compose my emails in word then
click on this icon to have the email form pop up with my message in the
body of the form. I can then choose from the address book and send the email
from my Word program.
