I've had a lot of success with Webvisum, although I suppose it hasn't worked
with every CAPTCHA.

I don't find Ff to be any slower than IE but it does depend on the versions
of Ff and IE you're comparing, as well as the sites you're visiting. Ff and
IE used to leap frog each other when it came to performance. One of the nice
things about Google Chrome is that it's set a new bar for performance with
Ff and IE playing catch up.

Subject: [VICUG-L] captchas

i have had no success with either solution for solving captchas.
I could never get the firefox plug-in to work, and i uninstalled
firefox because it was so slow.
I tried using selona through qwitter, and have an account there, but i
kept getting a message stating that they were unable to verify if a
human operator was on duty.
I have come to the sad conclusion that we blind folks are at the mercy
of the captchas. The only ones that work are those miserable audio
fuzzacle things, although i have seen some improvement in those
recently. Your best bet Becky is to have a sighted person there when
it's captcha time.s. s ,
