I'm refurbishing a variety of 486 machines at the moment
with sume success and much pleasure, but...

I need information to help me repair an AVR 3000/CL Plus scanner
(***or a recommendation for a replacement).

This is an old but nice SCSI 1200 dpi resolution scanner
made by Advanced Vision Research, San Jose CA
 - I can't find a web site for them.

Faults are a SCSI interface that doesn't initialise
and a flickering lamp - I would like to get some
information on the beast before I delve into its innards.

Or perhaps someone knows a repair shop for it in the UK?
