Since this is a new computer and factory setup, I'm going to guess that
the problem is with partitioning and sizing. Check and see how much size
and available space there is on C:\ and then on D:\. Also make sure the
two numbers add up to what the total disk capacity is supposed to be. If
there's some missing space you've got other problems with the new
factory setup. It could be that the partitioning was not done to allow
enough space on C. In that case make a new folder in D for your personal
files and divvy it up for documents, pictures, music, etc. and move your
files to the new folders. When you make your backups, remember to
include this folder and sub-folders! Your other option is to resize your
partitions to suit your needs, good luck with that.
If there isn't enough space in D and the added sizes of C and D equal
the total that's supposed to be there, then you've got something
creating run-away files like a virus or the new hard drive is going
belly up.
