Subject: Job Announcement, Vice President for Research at RIT
Hello,
I am writing on behalf of Renée Baker, Executive Director for
Faculty Recruitment and Retention, at the Rochester Institute of
Technology. I recently came across this email address for
National Federation of the Blind and am hoping you may be able to
assist us in an important search for the Vice President of
Research at RIT. This is a critically important position for
RIT, which is emerging as a world-class research university,
having received approximately $60 million in new research awards
during the previous year. The research environment at RIT is
dynamic and diverse, with areas of interdisciplinary research
excellence in imaging science, sustainability and deaf education.
Moreover, RIT is poised to dramatically increase its research
portfolio, having expanded from a primarily undergraduate
institute to a university with significant graduate programs and
an academic culture with a focus on research.
Below is a copy of the position description and we will be
grateful if you can help disseminate the job announcement
throughout your organization. If there is an alternative
procedure for posting this job, please let me know immediately.
Thank you very much for considering this request.
Sincerely,
