Harry,
Are you aware that January is Braille Awareness Month. I am currently
planning a Braille Awareness Day in Beaumont, Texas for January 22nd.
Events occur nationwide each year during January to broaden the awareness of
its importance.

Subject: [VICUG-L] national braille literacy month!
HI all,
In going through the legislative day of June 23, 2010, in the US House, they
voted to make July of this year braille literacy month!
Just a fantastic thing for them to do!
I didn't even know it happened!
Unfortunately, there wasn't a roll call vote taken, so, we will never know
how they voted. It was approved by a voice vote.
It's good to focus on braille literacy from time to time, especially,
because of braille displays, and also the fact, that there are folks working
on a full page one, so, braille isn't going away.
Harry
