I just used Google Maps to get text directions to a location near me. Here's
what I did:
1. I went to the URL
http://Google.com/maps
2. I pressed enter on the Get-Directions link.
3. I moved to the Start and End edit boxes and typed the start and end
addresses.
Actually, for the end address, I typed the name of an institution. the new
screen offered me several options, asking which one I meant. I entered on
the correct one.
4. I pressed enter on the Get-Directions button.
the text directions appear in a table. Use your screen reader to jump to it.
The default directions are driving directions. If you want walking
directions or something else, press enter on the link that says Show Options
or something like that.
