Michael,

I'm not sure if this is what you're trying to find, but there's a dialog box 
that has checkboxes for allowing remote invites to be sent from your 
computer, etc., buried in the XP Control panel.

to find it, go to the control panel. Navigate to System, and press enter. 
Press ctrl+tab repeatedly until you hear "remote" or something like that. 
If, for whatever reason, you don't hear it, hit ctrl+tab once, then hit the 
right arrow repeatedly. You should definitely hear it then.
