In case you didn't already get an answer, here it is.  From left to right, 
the mic goes in the first jack, and the control head goes into the second.

Hi all,

Was moving some stuff around in the shack the other day and unplugged
both the mic and remote head from the 480.   Now I don't remember which
is which.  The 2 jacks are side by side on the  front of the main unit.
