the astron and samlex switching power supplies aren't a problem, I have 
each, one in my go kit, and one I run my station off and I haven't seen a 
problem with either. I knew one guy who had an MFJ one, with a 2 prong plug 
on it, I don't know the model but it had a cigarette lighter socket on the 
front as well as the usual hookups, that thing was so dirty they actually 
put a filter on it so you could tune the filter as you tuned through the 
frequencies. I told him at one special event we did if I ever saw that thing 
again, I was packing up my equipment and going home, it made HF pretty well 
useless.
