Hi Junior and all.  It is quite easy for a totally blind person to set
the power on the 706.  All you need to do is second button from the
bottom to the left of the tuning knob untill you hear 2 beeps.  Then,
turn  turn the rit control until you get a long beep, that is slightly
longer than the others.  You now in the power set menu.  Turn the tuning
knob to the right, it will not rap, so if you give it a healthy turn, you
will be at the top of it's range.
