Hi Daren,

If you want something that works well and does not cost much try a quarter 
wave 2 meter telescoping antenna.  The one I have is a quarter wave on 440 
if it is totally collapsed  and it is a quarter wave on 220 when 3 of the 5 
sections are used..  Of cource, fully extended it works well on 2 meters.
