Phil,

Didn't see any replies to your question.  For what it's worth, no Icom's 
here, only Kenwoods.  Have used the Ameritron RB-704 between 2 different 
Kenwoods, and 2 amps, one tube and one SS.  Maybe overkill, but works well 
for me. No problems.
