it's transmitting on the wall charger?
it's not supposed to do that or be able to do that.
anyway, yep, I would say you need a new battery for sure.
scout ebay or
HTTP://www.bateriesamerica.com
for a replacement...they're far cheaper than the kenwood replacements.
