You are correct on what you have told Junior.

And, in answer to your earlier question, the audio setting for the mic is in 
menu 111--there's a high, medium, and low, if I remember correctly.  This 
option did not appear on the older TMV71A's, but should be on yours when you 
get it.  And, as far as I know, that menu option is not in the 
documentation.  At least it's not in the documentation I have.

I don't yet have one of these rigs in my hands but as I understand it there
are two pf buttons on the front panel.

You can switch one of these to kick off the speech board instead of whatever
other function it might do.

This is something you select by a menu.

Listers if I'm wrong on this please feel free to correct me.
