Hi
     It might not be ideal but when I lived in Kansas, the wooden poles I 
had for putting up my DX CC where to short. So, They attached lighter weight 
metal poles to the wooden ones to reach the 36 foot height I wanted. I 
worked all the way to central and south America on forty meters on that 
arrangement and that was when I was only running 100 watts.
