            I am not sure what is going on with your rig, but if all else 
fails, you may have to do a factory reset which will restore it to the 
factory default settings.  Of course this would mean that you would lose any 
settings you have programmed in, and you'd have to reinstate them.  That's 
when the Kenwood software comes in handy if you've kept a file of all your 
settings.
