Dear all Gambia-Lers,
The Economist Intelligence Unit in London, UK, is currently seeking to employ a notes'sender / stringer in The Gambia.
For £160 a quarter, the stringer is to send us once a quarter: cuttings covering economic and political situation from both government and independent press ; statistical documents - notably the annual budget, government programme of reforms, and Central Bank report ; as well as a 2-3 page manuscript with (independent!) views on current developments.
This job would ideally suit a journalist or a press officer living in The Gambia. If you know anyone who might be interested, please let me know.
CVs to be sent by e-mail or at the address below
Last but not least, I would like to seize the opportunity to wish all Gambia-Lers a very happy new year - I have been the EIU editor for The Gambia for now 2 years and visited the country in two occasions. Gambia-L allows me to keep in touch with current debates, which I thoroughly enjoy. Keep up the good work !
Many thanks
Charlotte Vaillant
