Just returned from a New England and Canada cruise on the Norwegian Jewel.
So long as we ordered ahead and ate in one of the 2 main dining rooms, we
had great gluten free meals. There was a waiter/waitress in each of those
dining rooms that was designated to deal with people on special diets.
They had gf bread, buns, waffles, pizza crust, cookies on board anyway. I
think they were frozen but tasty enough. We did eat at the Tex-Mex specialty
restaurant one night and had a terrific meal (lobster tacos entree).
On the stop at Sydney, Nova Scotia, our tour took us to the small town of
Baddeck as the lunch stop. There was a pizza by the slice place. I asked
if they had gf pizza. They did because one of their regular customers was
gf. They used Kinnikinnick square pizza crusts. My husband and I agreed
that it was one of the best gf pizzas we had ever had. The people that ate
at the sandwich shop next door said there was a sign on the wall saying
they had gluten-free bread.
