I returned from rehab 3 weeks ago (from hip replacement surgery). If any
of you have to go rehab - have a lot of food frozen for your return home - I
had to get 2 walkers (one for the garage since I had a step down) and one
for the house - be sure and have a lot of food to have a friend/family member
to bring to rehab after hospital (cereal, energy bars, crackers, snacks,
etc). Also, the only yogurt they had was Dannon and they thought it was
gluten free. I went to a rehab that promised me they would have no problem
providing me with a gluten free diet (I had diarrhea every day for 20 days)
and it was gone a day after I came home. I brought all my gluten free meds
along but had a problem getting them every day - i.e., my rheumatologist wants
me to take 1,000 mg of Vitamin D a day and never received it and they
insisted on giving me their vitamins.

I attributed my diarrhea to the coumadin I was taking but that was
obviously not the cause of my problem - when I got back home I was still taking
coumadin but my diarrhea went away - some of the staff members had never heard
of celiac sprue.

If you have any questions, please email me and I'll answer your questions.
