Had a very good experience at Bertucci's today. I honestly forgot they are a GIG/GFRAP restaurant, so I was pleased to see the label on their front door.
Waiter seemed a little confused, so I asked for a manager. Manager spoke with the chef to be sure.
Waiter may have been new. I heard him asking someone else how to key in gluten-free. But they seemed determined to get it right. Turns out the waiter nearly died last week as a result of the allergy tests he just had. He didn't make it out of the allergist's office. Had to be given epi-pen injection and rushed to ER. So even if he had to ask questions, he wasn't questioning the seriousness of celiac.
I printed out a menu before going, but they had a gf menu available at the restaurant...and the hostess knew exactly where it was, which isn't always the case.
