I'm addicted to the Food Network and the Cooking Channel. Periodically, I email them asking for a show that specifically addresses food substitutions and special tricks for cooking gluten-free and allergy-"free" (impossible to address everyone's allergy).
I also collect cookbooks and have way more than I need, but my favorites are those that start out with a basic recipe, and then tell you how to substitute....whether it's egg-free, dairy-free, etc. And we've all found that there are tricks to using gf flours....some are better for dense breads, some are better for light cakes, etc.
I'm just suggesting that if anyone else is interested that you go to the respective "contact us" section on the websites, and add your interest. Gluten-free and allergies are really a hot item right now. I think the shows can draw an audience.
It may be my imagination, but I seem to see many more recipes that work. But a show that also educates about food sensitivies (not just gf)...would be a new twist.
