Response from Continental Airlines ([log in to unmask]).

I guess my e-mail (And I saw a similar response to one of our chapter
members) got to a correct person, although I would have more respected a
response from an executive. I still don't have much hope that they will
make a change, but getting a ton of mail about this issue might make a
difference. Please write [log in to unmask] Thanks. I doubt they will have
a gluten-free selection to buy.

"Your email correspondence regarding Gluten Free meals on Continental
Airlines was forwarded to my attention for a response.

I understand you have some concerns about our discontinuation of Gluten
Free meals effective March 15, 2010.

Several special options including Gluten-Free, Low-Fat, Low-Sodium and
Diabetic meals were discontinued, and later this year complimentary food
service overall will be limited to primarily international routes. As an
alternative, we will be offering several food items for sale onboard many of
our flights. We recently introduced a program for customers to swipe their
debit and credit cards onboard for in-flight purchases.

Customers with dietary requirements may need to bring food items from
home or purchase items from the various airport vendors to meet special
dietary needs.

Your comments and concerns will be communicated in our monthly report
to senior management for their internal review. I apologize for any
inconvenience our policy creates for you. It is never our intention to
cause you distress of any kind. Your feedback is important.

We appreciate your patronage and look forward to welcoming you onboard
your next Continental Airlines flight.

Regards, Gerald Edmondson, Customer Care Manager"

Sincerely,
