Ray???
Thank you,
BatshevaIs Buckwheat a fruit, not a grain, and therefore paleo? It grows in minimal soils and crappy weather conditions, making it a foodsource in cold places like Siberia, Russia, parts of Mongolia. The package says that it is actually a fruit. Somehwere I read it is related to the rhubarb family, but don't quote me. I know of people who soak it and blend it up raw, so it fulfills the condition of being edible in its raw state, although I don't think I'd want to stalk it with a sharp stick.
