Subject: [3rd notice] Service outage Sat, Oct 23rd, 7am-1pm US Eastern
To: [log in to unmask]

Dear L-Soft US hosting customer:

Please note:  this is our third and final pre-event notification of an
L-Soft US Hosting service outage this Saturday, October 23, 2010, from
7am through 1pm US Eastern time.

Previous notifications were emailed to you one week ago on October 14
and two weeks ago on October 7.

As part of our comprehensive plan for increasing the reliability of
L-Soft US Hosting services (including all US-hosted EASE and ListPlex
customers), we will soon be relocating our hosting and outbound SMTP
servers from our offices in Landover, Maryland (just inside the I-495
Capital Beltway) to a colocation facility operated by our Internet
Service Provider in the District of Columbia.

In their new highly secure location, these servers will sit directly
atop our ISP's backbone, with redundant paths to the Internet, rather
than on our existing single local loop that carries L-Soft's Internet
pipe to the local telco central office and thence to our ISP.  In
addition to the increased redundancy of connectivity to the Internet,
L-Soft's primary Internet link will increase in size by approximately
one-third.

A move of this kind, involving disconnection, physical moving,
reconnection and testing of hardware, as well as re-routing of
existing IP addresses, necessarily requires a service outage, during
which US hosting services will be completely unavailable for a period
of time.

All electronic mail will be queued while services are offline, and
will be received, processed and sent by the respective service when it
is brought back online.

L-Soft US is doing everything possible to minimize the duration of
this service outage (including advance moving, connection and testing
of selected hardware), and has scheduled the outage for a weekend
morning which we hope will help minimize its impact on our customers.

Please mark your calendars for this Saturday, October 23, 2010 from
7am through 1pm US Eastern time.  US hosting services will be brought
back online from their new location as quickly as possible, and we are
hoping that may be well *before* 1pm US Eastern.

Please direct any questions or concerns to L-Soft Notifications
Response at <[log in to unmask]>.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

John Harlan
