The following website was recommended: http://glutenfreeeasily.com/honor-your-body-how-to-recover-after-being-glutened-gluten-exposure.
It was suggested that I go to the doctor, which I did--actually two of them--my naturopath and my internist. I used Slippery Elm, Epsom Salts, castor oil packs, Netti pot, and detox broth. My naturopath thought that I had inflammation caused by gluten and allergies. I remained ill and was concerned that I may also have shingles. I did not, and my Internist said that she thought I also had a virus as well as diverticulitus or diverticulosis. I stayed on a bland diet for a couple days after that and was finally well after almost 2 weeks.
