Hi Ian,

If you can land a TW-1, it does have a tuning aid built into it. When you
press and hold the forward power button for about three seconds it goes into
tuning aid mode. At that point, you could use the tone to tune your 520 for
maximum RF out and you would be done with it. This is the same way I tune
up my Drake L-7 amplifier.

I am curious. I talked with a gentleman down in Australia the other night
and gave him the info for subscribing to this list when he said he had a
blind friend. Is that friend you, by any chance.

Good luck finding a TW1. Please let the list know if W4RT still has them.
Very 73 for now and welcome to the list.

Kevin :)

Subject: New list member intro and enquirey

Hello. Hello from Geelong Australia.
My name is Ian and my call sign is VK3vin, which is a standard
licence call here in Australia.

Could someone please tell me where I might be able to buy a TW1?

I have the TW2 and am very happy with it but need a talking meter for
my HF equipment.

My HF equipment is an Icom IC-746, and an Icom IC-7200.

There is also a TS520 in my collection which I need to find a way of
tuning so any assistance or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

Ian, VK3vin
