I did not receive a great deal of information but will share what I received.
In Palmer, AK - Majestic Valley Lodge - The Sour Cream Coffee Cake is a big winner and the recipe was shared with the people at Silly Yaks Bakery. The chef is GF knowledgeable.
Girdwood, AK - The Double Musky Inn - One of the server's Mom has Celiac, not to mention this is a 5 star restaurant off a gravel road. . .true. You go up one gravel road and then turn onto another gravel road. You will not be disappointed with the food. I had the scampi. Be sure to purchase their cookbook.
Anchorage, AK - The Natural Pantry Health Food Store on Old Seward Hwy, just south of 36th, on your left, is a good place to get gf goods. They also have a little corner where you can get some food. In Whittier...you need to find out the tunnel schedule...you will love that place, these is a little restuarant that specializes in 3 gf soups...all fish, of course, it is a fishing port. It is maybe an hour south of Anchorage. Calley Varly's Swiftwater Seafood Cafe.
When in Alaska in 2008, I had no luck in Sitka, Ketchikan or Juneau.
From another source - Victoria, BC - Butchart Gardens - The Dining Room Restaurant now offers GF Afternoon Tea if you make arrangements ahead of time. 250-652-8222. A new trendy, casual restaurant in downtown - http://bit.ly/GFSauceBC.
Anchorage - Bistro - near the zoo.
I also found several recommendations in the Triumph Dining Guide.
Thanks to all who replied.
