Dear Listmates:
Many of you have questions about the FDA's gluten-free labeling proposal.
As people have noted, the process of commenting through the Federal Register
is cumbersome and requires digesting a great deal of information prior to
responding. The American Celiac Disease Alliance has developed a list of
Frequently Asked Questions that may help you understand the material. In
addition we have created a letter addressing several key points for which
comments were requested. You are invited to sign on to the letter. It will
be sent to the FDA along with your name. Take a look by going to these
links:

In addition, the ACDA has turned to one of our expert members, Dr. Stefano
Guandalini, Medical Director, of the Celiac Disease Center at the University
of Chicago, to share his analysis of the accompanying safety assessment.
You can find that material on americanceliac.org or on our sister site

Lastly, feel free to ask questions. (There's a place on our web site.)
Let's make our voices count!
