I remember a discussion a while back about a non-resonent antenna for HF. I
just got home from the qth of my friend, w9njy.
We sat on his front porch, running a number of qrp radios for the fun oof
it.
In order, we ran a by1, yaesu something, a kx1, and a k2. We made over 40
contacts in the ongoing contest, including yt2t. We were running a 88 foot
long inverted vee, fed with 300 ohm twin lead through a tuner and 4/1 balon.
The center was 45 feet high, and the ends droped to 15 feet. The design is
suppozed to work on 80 through 20. It needs a tuner on all bands. on 15
and 10, it becomes directional. Absolutely great day!!!
