David - just as a follow-up, I eat about a square inch of flattened kelp
(dried - from the health food store) every day or three. I figure that
gives me about what I need. But I skip some days since it feels,
sometimes, like I'm eating too much. So just munching on a small amount
every day or two might be plenty of elemental iodine. The excess amount
sometimes feels like being "wired" or a bit edgy or "puffy." I've never
done the "math" but the packages are usually marked with the amount of
iodine per gram, etc. I'm not so strict on the amounts, just that I get
some, periodically - I rely on my instinct. -=mark=-
