There are two nerves which go down each finger and her index finger and this splinter were wrapped around each other. The operation took about 25 minutes and 15 minutes in recovery and we came home. The cist and multiple layers of skin that were building up around the cist, along with the pesky little piece of splinter were all removed. The doctor said when she walks through the house, she has to put her hand on her head to protect it and as much as is humanly possible, she is supposed to keep her hand elevated, above her heart level until she goes back to see the surgeon in 7 days. She likely will be off work for two weeks. Fortunately, she is left handed, but even so, it is going to hurt and it is going to take awhile to heal. We needed 200 dollars as our co-pay today which we did not have. A man with whom I have prayed off and on for about 6 years, and whose 24 year old daughter I am praying with weekly now, just happened, out of the clear blue sky, to send us 300 dollars. Plus, the mobile vet Sandy works for mailed his paycheck to her and it came so that helped with other bills, too. Sandy is in good spirits, until the pain medication wears off, haha, but we are glad that is over. Thanks to everyone who prayed. I'm sending this to a number of people.
