We are going to Hawaii next month and I was hoping to take my son to a luau while there. I have contacted one and gotten a menu that lists the ingredients for all dishes served. I was surprised to find many dishes included soy sauce (with wheat, of course) on it. I can call the luau folks and discuss the menu and what my son can eat. I don't know if they will accommodate him or just leave it to me to chose wisely based on the info they sent me. There ARE a few things on the menu and he's not a big eater at 12yo, but for our money (luaus are not cheap!), I'd like to have options. I thought maybe someone here has gone through this already. TIA for any suggestions or ideas.
