AFB Technology Policy Teleseminar:
Responding to the National Broadband Plan and the Proposed 508
Rules

May 27, 2010, 2:00pm Eastern

With the release this Spring by the Federal Communications
Commission (FCC) of its comprehensive National Broadband Plan and
the publication by the U.S. Access Board of an invitation for
the public to comment on the pending refresh of the federal
government's technology accessibility obligations, advocates have
opportunities to affect real change.

On Thursday afternoon, May 27, from 2:00pm to 3:30pm Eastern,
join the Public Policy staff of the American Foundation for the
Blind (AFB) and expert guest presenters to learn more about what
these two important opportunities to improve technology
accessibility for people with vision loss offer, what they are
intended to achieve, and how you can respond most effectively to
them. Presenters will include:

Elizabeth Lyle
Special Counsel for Innovation
Wireless Telecommunications Bureau, FCC
Washington, DC

and

Brad Hodges
National Technology Associate
AFB-TECH
Huntington, WV

Mark your calendar and share this announcement with your
networks. While an RSVP is not required to participate in this
free teleseminar, take a moment and indicate your interest in

the prompt 2:00pm Eastern start time:
