Hi Keith,

You are not going to like this article, but given where the story
comes from, you might just believe it.

Subject: [VICUG-L] Office 2010 With Screen Readers

For about six months, I have been experiencing unbelievable
frustration with using Office 2010 with screen readers. I have tried
JAWS, WindowEyes, and System Access, and still experience difficulties
such as having to press Alt-Tab a couple of times to get an email
message to read properly, crashing Word or Outlook when I type at my
normal speed, and having Outlook freeze when sending emails.

I have talked to our computing Services folks and have had a new hard
drive and even a new computer. I am running Windows 7 Professional,
32-bit, on a Fujitsu tablet PC.  And I have tried the latest updates
in all screen readers.

Can anyone email me off list or call me at the number in my contact
info to talk about possible configuration changes that might need to
be made?  I'd go back to office 2007 in a heartbeat, but I teach
Office 2010 in a class.  Sorry for venting, but six months is enough
misery!
